Default Clearing / Re-setting BB7520

Please Login to Remove!

Hi There,

How can I set my BB to the initial state when you first get it? I plan on selling mine but before I do I want to make sure all my data and information is gone.

Thanks!

Thumbs up

For me the quickest way was to re-install the OS, it was faster than sitting there re-setting and deleting everything. It only takes a few minutes.

From the Desktop Manager, the Applications Loader! You should have the CD to install the Desktop Manager if you never did that, if not you can go to the Nextel website to get the OS and the Desktop Manager.

This wiped my data clean and resotred the BB to factory settings.

1. I went to options --> security
2. Click the wheel and select "wipe handheld" wait for it to reboot
3. Go back into security options (step #1)
4. Click the wheel and select "master radio reset"

I had done that too, and for some reason some of my info was still there. Just double check. Here is the link to the OS 4 for the 7520, just choose it from the drop down menu, just in case.

If I may ask, why are you letting the 7520 go?
