Default getting email

Please Login to Remove!

for some reason my users are not able to receive emails on my blackberry, but we are able to send them from the blackberry!

The address lookups working against the address book?

i am getting this error in my event viewer:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: BlackBerry Policy Service
Event Category: None
Event ID: 20000
Date: 2/29/2008
Time: 7:06:12 AM

Computer: ABBB
Description:
Syntax error in vendorxml line 0, column 0. Reason: XML document must have a top level element.


any ideas?

I am having this problem with just 1 of my users! his email is not getting to his blackberry!

Is there a way to tell if the BES server is poling his mailbox!

Here is a test you can try:

1. Send the user an email

2. See if Pending mail increases for the user

3. Look in the MAGT log for that user name around the the time you sent the message

You might see a line referencing Still handled by Desktop. He might have inadvertantly installed Dekstop Manager with the Redirector option and now he can't receive from the BES because it thinks the Redirector should be doing it.

I would try that test and see what the logs show.

The Pending count will be in the BB Manager when you click the user. It's part of that users stats.

As for the logs the directory is: C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Logs\<Current Date>\<BESNAME>-MAGT<DATE>.txt. If it's not there then it you will find the logs directory in the BB Server Config utility, look on the Logging tab.
