I would like to listen to am radio online with my bb curve 8330... can someone tell me in simple terms how to do it? By the way, I use opera mini- if it makes any difference. Thanks!

Default Use Moodio

Check out Moodio.fm. Even though the URL says "FM," this site enables you to listen to virtually any AM or FM station you like. You need to register (free) and then log-in from your BlackBerry browser. You then search for your station, add it to your favorites. Once that's done, you can click on the station link and your BlackBerry media player will launch and play the stream. It's awesome!

One caveat: since you'll be streaming the audio, not downloading it (like you would a podcast), you really should have an unlimited data plan or you'll get hosed with usage fees.

Any idea how much this can add up to? Our current carrier has their "unlimited" data plan, but one of the store clerks said it is really a 50gb plan and then went on to say there was overage charge. I don't know if this means that they just shut you down at 50gig until the next billing cycle starts, or something else. I can easily see me listening to 6+ hours of radio a day plus email and tabbed surfing if the BB browser can handle that.

I think I need to find a program to measure how much data I'm processing on the laptop here so I can get a handle of how much actual usage I might incur. I'm hoping for a BB to get into stock this week or next at the local stores so I can get up to speed.

I am having problems with Moodio. I logged in and found the station I wanted. When I click on it, it launches the audio player and then I get the following error message:

"The media being played is of an unsupported format"

Any suggestions?

Nevermind. I didn't see that I had to go over to m.moodio.fm after I picked my station. It works fine now.
