Default 8130 Icon Size for OS 4.5

Please Login to Remove!

Is it no longer possible to use 60x55 icons in an icon theme on OS 4.5 for Pearl 8130? It seems to automatically resize them to a point where these old eyes have a hard time distinguishing one from the other.

I know that I can use the older theme creator for OS 4.2 etc. and use those themes.

Thanks.

I use 60 x 55 icons in Plazmic 4.7, 8130 OS 4.5.0.127. I never have an issue with them being resized.

If you want to post some of your icons, I'll see if the work for me.

Thanks for your reply. I will check into this further then... I'm obviously doing something wrong. Now that I think of it, it may be the type of theme I was creating.

Thanks again.

48x36 is what you want ideally for the theme. That is what the stock dimension icons are that are preloaded on the phone.

Plazmic will resize other sized icons, but they will come out distorted. Your best bet is to resize them using a photo editing program like Photoshop or GIMP.

48 x 36 is the stock size for Zen and Custom themes. If you create an Icon theme, Plazmic will use 60 x 55.

I am sorry, I did not see that an icon theme was mentioned. Those are bigger, and I would imagine that 60x55 would work well. My apologies.

This does in fact work as intended. I had gotten all excited about using a zen or today theme (can't remember which) and when you go from that screen to the application screen I think it uses the smaller icons.

If you create an Icon theme it does not resize the larger icons as I previously had thought. My mistake. Sorry for wasting everybody's cycles.
