I have just recently gotten a blackberry bold 9700 unlocked off kijiji. I do not have a data plan with the phone but I was wondering if there is any way that I could still use my WiFi while NOT having any type of data service.

You will ONLY have access to the WiFi Hotspot browser, no email push and NONE of the RIM/BlackBerry applications like Facebook, BlackBerry Messenger, Maps, etc. You must have the BlackBerry Data Plan for all of that.

And from what I have been reading elsewhere, Rogers may be following ATT and Verizon and requiring you to have a BB data plan before sending the WiFi service book.
