Is there anyway to change the amount of time that the player skips forwards or backwards when using the FF or Rew.

The current skip seems to be dependent on the length of the program being viewed - When watching a 1hr show, and I skip forwards, it jumps 3 minutes (1/20th?).

Is there a way to define this jump to be 30 seconds or 1 minute?

no in short form.. Sorry that feature is locked to how ever RIM has it set.

There doesn't seem to be a way but if you hold the shift key (the bottom left key) and track forward or back when you are in FF/Rewind mode it will do it for each second of the video/music so you can get to the exact point you are looking for.

just go up to the time status bar, drag it to the point you want it and click...

That's what I do, but it doesn't allow you to pick an arbitrary point in time - it moves in increments of 3 minutes. That's not so bad, but sometiimes 3 minutes is longer than the commercial breaks so I skip into the program without being able to even rewind - I can only go back and forth in 3 minute increments.
