Default how can I tell if I am muted or not?

Please Login to Remove!

So I know the mute button works - I tested it with various incoming messages. The question I have is: How can I tell by looking at my Pearl if I am muted or not? Is there some indicator/icon somewhere? I looked around and can't see anything that shows up as I toggle it.

Only if you have the phone application on the screen, you should see a red x.

I may be losing it here. I dont see a "phone application". I see "call log" where I can also dial a phone number, but no phone app per se. Am I missing something here?

When you first dial a call that is the phone application. You only see it when you are on the call.

ooh - so if i am going into a meeting and look at the phone there is no way to tell if i am muted or not? Wow, guess I will have to switch profiles to guarantee the silence.

The mute button at top left only mutes your voice during a phone call or puts the phone in standby mode where it will still make sound.

Hold down the # button at the bottom right corner. After a few seconds the phone goes in vibrate mode and the speaker icon at the top right of the screen changes to a speaker with 2 green wiggly lines showing its in vibrate more.

Hold down the # again to change back to normal mode.
