When I run Desktop Manager and connect my BB, DM tells me that my BB is connected. But when I run AppLoader I get the message "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have the Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer."

i get the samething and cant download any new app ali/alx are not working
everytime i try i get no additional application for this device was found

Would like to install Appl. but it doesn't show the appl. as "this appl. is not designed for this device." Crap, I know the appl. is not complicated and runs charmless on the 8300 blackberry when I updated the Appl. Version to 4.2.2.114

The 8310 has a 4.2.2.146. Can't upgrade, can't downgrade.
Starting to think that the 8310 has some bugs in their Firmware.

As we also had a lot of them which had/showed several SIM card errors....

For the first three posters...

Darn search button is broken again. This question has been asked hundreds of times. In order to load software via the application loader, you have to also have the BlackBerry Handheld software installed, as well as desktop manager. It is a second piece of software.

Please check out Main Page - BlackBerryFAQ for more instructions on how to download and install the BlackBerry Handheld OS. If a particular application doesn't load, I would contact the vendor who wrote or sold the app.

Inspector - the 8310 is brand new. The handheld OS for it is not out yet, so you are out of luck until some carrier puts it out for download.
