There is no doubt there is a battery issue when connected to 3G....sucks the life out of the Bold quickly.
I am running OS version 4.6.0.134.
I turned 3G off and currently connect mostly to WIFI then 2G

It might be an issue to some but my Bold is on 3G all day long and it is not an issue.

After usnig my Bold in Jacksonville, Fl on AT&T for over a week now, the Bold Battery has not come home with less than 45% everyday. I do 2000 minutes of vioice a month, average and read about 60 emails and answer 25-30 daily.

If you have decent reception, I do not think your Bold will have battery problems. If you are in a place with poor reception, from what I have read here, you will get poor battery and dropped calls.

I am still on the original OS and do not think that upgrading (?) your OS will help!

Crappy reception on 3G is CRAPPY!

I took my Bold off the charger at around 10:30 today, I have received approximately 50-100 emails, 50 SMS/MMS, and 30 minutes worth of calls. Watched a couple of videos and played some music.

Been using Bluetooth, 3G and WiFi. In Oakville (near Toronto), I have never lost 3G service, it seems to be a constant.

Currently at 23:52, my battery life is at 35%.

Although, my Curve lasted maybe 3 or 4 days and my 8700R lasts 3-4 days with 500-1000 emails per day, this is to be expected with the 9000 I believe.

Cheers,
--Phil

So glad certain carriers made sure certain issues were resolved before giving into pressure to rush to market with this device. It rocks and battery is easily triple that of my iPhone.
