Yes, the phone will work, but the blackberry part won't unless you have added blackberry service to the other account.
When you power up you will get the warning "Data Connection Refused"
I know someone who has a blackberry that he uses like that. He just syncs it up to outlook to manage his contacts no way to get mail. There may be a way to get a browser to work. I've often wondered about getting the WAP browser to work on a pre-paid t-mobile account that has unlimited browsing of their to-go portal.
A Boost SIM will work with a Nextel blackberry. If you install reqwireless's e-mail client you can get POP mail with it.
