Exclamation GSM to GPRS Cingular

Please Login to Remove!

Dont know if this is a Cingular issue or not but just the last few days i have noticed that my bb at home is on GSM and not GPRS and i keep having to turn the Radio On/Off or turn the bb On/Off so it goes into GPRS so i can get my emails...

anyone else having this type of problem.. i registered the host routing tables a few times but still same thing.

Have you got the newest handheld code installed? It should give bias to a further away cell if it has GPRS as opposed to a closer tower with no data available. You should also be able to call Cingular and complain about lack of data in an area and they might push another transponder into data only mode to help with the coverage... Rogers will do that if there is heavy data use in an area.

The most common quick-fix for this is pull the battery.
