Are there any security risks involved in allowing the device PIN number to be listed in the http header of the BB browser?

Editing the rimpublic.property configuration file and adding:

application.handler.http.header=pin

Depends on if your proxy strips out the header before the data leaves your company. PIN messaging is not locked down in any way (receive) and could be an issue from a spamming perspective.

You can view the header info by visiting the following link via your BB HTTP Header Viewer: list browser headers

This is simply reporting back the info that the web server sees. You can write an internal script as well.
