I just purchased a BB Pearl Flip from T-Mobile and was disappointed to find that the only languages offered on the device are English (US & UK) and Spanish. I do a lot of texting to French friends and want to know if there is a way to add French as the input language for text messages and emails. I know that I could access the symbols to type in French but I'm looking for 'predictive' typing or SureType in French. Thanks.

Run setup wizzard and see if you can add the french language option. You should be able to check the box and have it avaiable.

If not you will need to down load the handheld opperating system from the T-mobile site and use Desktop Manager to update the OS to include french.

If you have problems come back here and post what steps you took and the results.

I tried using Setup Wizard earlier. The only three languages offered on my device (under the Setup Wizard and under the options to change input languages) are English (US), English (UK), and Espagnol.

I also ran the T-Mobile update. T-Mobile seems to offer a multilingual Desktop Manager but only one OS update. After the update, there is still no option to add any other languages except those mentioned above.

Go to this Link http://http://tmobile.infospace.com/...px?deviceID=32 and download to your PC Handheld Software (v4.6.0.180) and install it to your PC.

Next connect your BB to your PC via the USB cable and open Desktop Manager. Run Application Loader and when you get to the window that offers Advanced select it and check to boxes for the languages you want to install. (The updater my start on its own if you don't already have this os on your BB.)

DO NOT disconnect your BB utill the update says Finished on your PC. This may take 20-40 minutes or so.
