The U.S. government has inserted itself in a high-stakes patent fight over the popular BlackBerry device, saying it wants to make sure federal workers won't be cut off from mobile access to their e-mail.


has anyone been following this story??????? WHAT ABOUT US!!!!!!

I think there are a couple of threads on the lawsuit. Just a couple.

In fact, I wrote in one that a superb strategy for RIM would be to say "we can't identify just the government BlackBerrys" and then state that all US BBs would be shut down. That would get Congress' attention.

More lawyers posturing.

This was from that article....

"The government filing by Paul J. McNulty, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, said "there does not appear to be a simple manner in which RIM can identify which users of BlackBerries are part of the federal government."

I think NJBB might have the inside track on this......huh? huh? huh? What is going to happen next, tell us! LOL!!
