OK so I have a Bold comming in next few days. I live in HK and only have a pay as you go simcard at the moment. what functions will I be missing out on? I do however have wireless in my home. also does the phone make a noise when you recieve an email? as I wont have mobile internet will the email system still work when I am in the wireless area and will it connect automatically?

No, you will not be able to get true BlackBerry push email on your phone without a data plan. The phone will alert you when you receive a message.
