I am trying to buy an 8900 that has absolutely no network markings on front or back of the device, no network software loaded and no network logo splashing across the screen when the unit is switch on.

Is this possible or are all devices linked back to a network provider in some way.

I have bought it from expansys. It is no branded and unlocked...everything works fine!

Thanks very much.....just dont want to order one and find out that no markings on outside but newtowrk logos etc internally.

Was it the UK site you ordered from as that is where I would have to order from as the phones are not yet available her in Australia.
