Thumbs down Bluetooth stays on despite not being connected!?

Please Login to Remove!

Thanks for your help everyone

As the titles suggests, I have a bold that will insist on using the bluetooth device for output despite me not being connected to one or even close to one! This has happened twice now, initially I thought my handset was busted, but then realized that I had to switch the source to make my handset be the output device.

I should clarify, this happens (rarely) after having driven my wifes car which my BB is paired with.

The only way to fix it so far is by rebooting it

cheers!

do you mean that the bluetooth icon shows on the home screen even when you're not using it?
or that bluetooth will not turn off after using with a paired device, by going to manage connections and unchecking bluetooth?

I always leave bluetooth on, so I always have the icon on the home screen.

I think what happened is as follow. I drove my wifes car yesterday and made a couple of phone calls using bluetooth. then this morning driving my car into work, i tried using my phone (bluetooth icon on the home screen, but not connected, and no flashing blue LED) and it still thinks I'm using bluetooth!? No audio out of the handset until I press menu and select "Activate handset". I even went to manage connection and turned off bluetooth all together and still whenever I make a phone call, it insists that its a bluetooth enabled call!?

Weird!

ah right.
when you reboot, you pull the battery? and it fixes it until you do the above.
what OS are you using?

i do an alt-rshift-del instead of a battery pull.

i'm running, 4.6.0.162 (4.0.0.155) and with rogers.

cheers.

hmm, wondering whether pulling the battery would possibly help.
It may be an OS problem, as it is an old OS.
upgrading may help, if it doesnt, you can always downgrade if you prefer the current version.

other than that im out. hopefully someone else has had a similar problem and can help.
