There is no way to make the upgrade process any faster. That's how long it takes.

Okay, so I'll tell you what I have to do to mine anytime I want to upgrade or do a full backup. Before I do it, I have to go into the Backup/Restore and choose Advanced. In the database list on the right, I have to select "Browser Data Cache" and clear that one. Once this one is cleared, then I don't receive that error. But I have to do it EVERY time that I need to do something that requires a full backup.

To determine which database it was that was crashing it, I backed up each database one at a time in the Advanced. Luckily, it didn't take long to get to that one when it gave me an error with it. And I guess I'm lucky that it's a database that doesn't matter if it's cleared.

I hope this helps!
