Default Downloading files with Opera Mini on a curve 8310

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all. I've seen this question asked before, but I haven't found any real answers. According to the Opera Mini FAQ, you can download files since version 4.1, as longs as the phone supports JSR-75, which they claim OS 4.2+ does (I have 4.5).

Whenever I try to download a file in Opera Mini, though, it asks me for permission to download the file in the Blackberry browser. This doesn't work for me, since I'm without a BB data plan.

I do not have an SD card installed on the phone. Could that be the reason why it won't let me download files? Does the JSR 75 only work with external memory?

Anyone have any insights?

Thanks!

I believe it invokes the BB Browser when you attempt to download. The Bolt Browser works this way.

Opera Mini gives you the option to download files directly to your media card.. I do that for podcasts and videos from videos4blackberry.com

What type of files are you trying to download and are you running the latest version of Opera Mini.
