Default application permission...

Please Login to Remove!

i just picked up an 8350i yesterday and i've never owned a blackberry before so i'd like to appologize in advance for any dumb questions i might ask. what is the general rule for application permissions? i tried opening nfl mobile live and it requested a socket connection. do not ask for socket to nfl.jcis.handson.com was already checked and do i allow or deny the function? any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Welcome to the forums!

Are you on BES through your employer? (For work e-mail)?

BES = BlackBerry Enterprise Server.. Do you get your Work email on your BlackBerry or is this a personal device?

As far as application permissions... I would try..

Options -> Security -> Firewall, and disable it.

General rule I have when ti comes to any security, blackberry, pc, or even my home. if I trust the application, the program or the person, they get full permission
