hello everyone, a few months ago i had a bb 8800 that i was desperately trying to bring back to life, so i had installed jl_cmder had downloaded the os, and i could find the apploader folder. So now i got my hands on a 7290 was performing a restart due to wrong passwords entered. but now i cant find the apploader folder!!!!!!! its driving me crazy, so the computer is running on vista, when i perform a search for apploader, apploader.exe, vendor.xml nothing comes up so could someone please give me a hand ???

I hope you aren't going to try to install the 8800 OS on the 7290! It won't work. You will need a 7290 OS.

What version of DM are you using? It might not recognize the 7290 as that is apretty "old" device. Might need to install DM 4.1 or 4.2.

no no i am not trying to install the 8800 os, i got the specific os to the 7290, for the right operator, i followed all the steps needed on the jl_cmder faq, but jl_cmder isnt working so i thought i would use the, what to do if jl_cmder doesn't work tutorial, but i can't find the apploader folder in progam files / research in motion....
