Yeah, I can see your point. I use Adium which can also connect to MSN, FB and Twitter (among others). I've only started to use it for FB and Twitter recently so it's taking time to adapt to having three separate contacts for most of the people on my list.

Well, you're gonna have to wait - at least til tomorrow
There's a CHECK FOR UPGRADE NOW link at the bottom of the Options screen in 1.5, so I'd think you could get it right from there... and it will probably be in App World when it comes out. Remember, v1.5 was delayed several months... hopefully that won't be the case this time.

I believe it's suppose to be released tomorrow... I'd just check back with CB.com they are usually keeping up with that stuff.. and we might not even see it tomorrow.

Well, the 1.5 was delayed for months, but the upgrade 1.5.0.32 was right on time.
So, 1.6 is probably going to come out today.

I'm not familiar with Adium, but with Trillian, you would just take those three contacts and combine them into a single meta-contact, which is what you'd see on the buddy list. You can click on it to see the three contacts if you wish, but based on the (configurable) order of those contacts within the meta-contact, you can simply double-click the meta-contact and it will pick the first online contact to open an IM with. So really little difference in use from when you only had a single contact on the list for them, and your buddy list isn't cluttered with multiple contacts for the same person.

Thanks for the info. It's in beta testing for OSX and the iPhone, so I signed up for invitations (story of my life ).
