Default Orange UK PAYG BIS

Please Login to Remove!

Hi
I have a Blackberry 8820 locked to Orange.
I have gone over to PAYG and was told by 3 Orange reps that I could get the Blackberry Internet Service on PAYG for my BB 8820 for £5 per month.
I contacted 450 and paid my 25p to talk to an advisor who again confirmed I could have the service. I topped up my phone and allowed an extra £5 for BIS. I even setup the auto topup so I do not need to worry about it in the future. Next thing I know I get a TXT from Orange stating that BIS is only availabe with a new 8120. As BIS is a service and is available on contract for my 8820 I do not see why they cannot allow none 8120 useres to have this service. In this economic climite surely it is better to have as many customers paying a regular amount than Isolating customers that actually want to spend money with the company.

I have been a customer of orange for many years but am thinking of moving on after this episode.

Any comments?

Dave

Ok so I have contacted Orange again and have spoken to their Blackberry dept. I can now confirm that BIS on PAYG Orange is only available on a new 8120. Orange are doing a 6 month trial and if successful will release it to cover the entire range of BB on PAYG.
