I like to think that I know a little bit about blackberrys (mostly from this forum), but I have no idea how to check which version of BIS I am running, or how to get the most updated version...If anyone could lend a hand, I would really appreciate it. I would really like to make sure that I have the most up-to-date BIS version. BTW, I have an 8830 running v4.5.0.138 on Verizon (and I can't wait to get the Tour this weekend!)

BIS is through RIM and your carrier. You have 2.7 and its automatic.

BIS is a RIM and carrier application and not something that you can change, upgrade to or from, or have any control over. US carriers are currently on BIS 2.7. It was upgraded from 2.6 a few weeks ago.

Thank you to you both, that makes sense. At some point I read that deleting and then readding an e-mail address was necessary to take advantage of updates made to BIS (as it affected gmail accounts), and I did that, but just wanted to make sure that there wasn't something else I should be doing. Thanks again.
