Does the automatic suspend not work for your needs?

Just set the time you want and it will lock without a problem.

I am coming from a Treo 650. The Treo would automatically time out and the screen would go dark and lock after a certain predesignated amount of time. The Blackberry screen goes dim but the keypad does not lock unless you do it manually. I wanted to know if there is a way to set up the BB so it automatically locks the keypad after a certian timeout.
