I just bought a 8310 used and I cant figure out how to delete the old persons email and put mine on. Can someone help me out? thanks

I read the faq but it says to go to like email setup icon, but my phone doesnt have that. Is that something that the previous owner got rid of?

Are you trying to get rid of email on the phone or email that is pushed to the phone?

If it is just email and old data that is already on the phone, then you need to wipe it.
Settings-->Optionsxxx8222;³Security Options-->General Settings-->Wipe Handheld. If you addded a BB dataplan, you will need to resend the service books after the process is completed.

If it is mail that continues to arrive, then you need to have the seller delete their BIS account which releases the PIN so you can use it to set up your email.

What are service books? I dont know alot about phones. and the email doesnt keep coming. Its just there email is up on everything and i cant change in to mine

You need to call your carrier (ATT) and get a BLACKBERRY DATA PLAN if you want to get email on your device.

The lack of the Email Setup Icon on the device indicates that you do not have the proper data plan set up.

oh haha i totally forgot about that, bc i was getting internet. whoops Then when I get it will it atomatically come up on my phone?
