Hello everyone,

I am using an 8900 from TMO and I'm trying to find a program that I can use to create a storage area or data "vault" on an SD Card and copy documents/files to that area that would require a password to see. I'm even ok with being able to password protect a specific folder on the SD Card.

For a PC, there is a product called SafeHouse and it works pretty well, but I can't seem to find a program that will password protect a data location for the BB. I tried doing a search and came up with FILELOCK which is waaaay too much drama to use, Ascendo Data Vault only seems to hold passwords, credit cards and things like that as did Crypt something or other, but I already use Password Keeper for that stuff.

Any ideas? Free would be preferred, but not necessary if it does what I want it to do.

Uh, the Blackberry does this by itself. Options -> Memory -> Encryption Mode.

Best to do this on a freshly formatted card.

When I tried that, it only requires a password when I try to unlock the phone. I need to set a password for specific folders on the data card or the entire data card. Am I missing something?

BTT. I'm also looking for a similar application or even some capability to password protect word or even text files. Anybody???
