I can get both devices to pair but that is it.

I keep getting an error message on the blackberry that says I don't have the application necessary to share files.

what is the application on the BLackberry 7290 that I need -- so that I can transfer files via the 2 devices?

any help will be appreciated.

First and foremost, you need handheld OS v4.1 to do BT data syncing, and that isn't available yet on the 7290.

So... It won't work. Yet. And there are no release dates for v4.1 for the 7290s.

If anything down the road you'll need iSync to sync with the G4 via BT as of now iSync doesn't offer BlackBerry on it BT compatibility list. The only real USB data sync option for the Mac at the moment is PocketMac BlackBerry Sync.

cool thanks y'all . I have the pocketmac application. I works nicely for the sync but doesn' allow any data sharing beyond that - e.g. pic, docs, midi files.

thus I am relinquished to emailing myself that stuff.
