Talking Blackberry Opened to other Networks

Please Login to Remove!

I love my blackberry pearl, I was given it when my baby dunked my phone in water. I'm on contract on Virgin Mobile UK and the phone was T Mobile. No problems initially but now it's accessing the internet every day whilst I am asleep and even though the internet has been turned off I am being charged and will continue to be. There is nothing I can do except turn off my phone. All settings and service books were sorted (dunno - giving the new mum shrug - sorry techno's). All I do is make calls and send texts, virgin don't support phone, don't allow me to send photo's etc and dont provide me with data so I'm being charged through them for access to T-zones (UK) but I can't access anything ..... am I being a bit stupid ...? be gentle!

You don't want ANY data/internet access on the Pearl?

OPtions > Mobile Network > Data Services = Off.

I've never been able to access any data, so just used the phone and text !! sadly

so my phone has been accessing the internet and downloading on it's own (told you I've got baby brain!!!)

Settings were on Off ... apparently it was set with a 'service book'

Yea I am confused as well.

So, the Data Services is OFF and still making contact with the network?

That shouldn't happen.

But then again, the BlackBerry IS designed to access the network, check to make sure it is still there, etc., it is expected behavior.

Try this on your pearl, open the Tzones icon and then select Menu key > Close.
