forgot my password to unlock my BB (keypad)
can any1 help?

Enter an incorrect password (up to 10 times) until the device wipes itself.
Then you can set a new password when the device resets.
After that, restore your data from your most recent backup.

No, it will wipe itself clean and reset back to near factory settings.

Yeah, the whole point of a BB is security.

if you dont have the password, there is nothing you can do but (some form of) a wipe.

Do you have caps lock or num lock on? Try removing the battery for 30 seconds and then try your password again.

If that doesn't work, then listen to penguin's advice. It's the only way to resolve your issue.

It will definitely wipe your device if you enter the incorrect password 10 times. But you will lose all data on the device. Contacts, calendar appointments, email messages, SMS messages, etc.
