Please note that this does not change the branding on the device. When it turns on it will still show Verizon.

Duh. You didn't ask to change the branding, you only asked to change the OS.
You can't change the flash start up screen. That's been answered and discussed here thousands of times.

I don't think it is possible with a curve. I have an unlocked Storm (both CDMA and GSM capable) and when I tried an AT&T SIM card in it, it did say AT&T on the top. But even though Boost is CDMA, I believe that the frequencies are different so Verizon and Sprint phones aren't compatible (if this is what you are looking to do).

He was not being rude. He was simply explaining that what are want is different than what you asked for. You can change the OS to whatever you want. However, devices are BRANDED to a carrier. With a GSM(sim card) phone you can buy an unlock code to do this... With CDMA, the "unlock code" is held only by th carrier and usually NEVER released. And even if it was, you'd still need to have it rebranded to boost.

I would not call it being rude. He answered your original question about changing the operating system. Then you changed it/asked another question about the Verizon branding and he also answered that one.
You cannot change the branding. It is a Verizon device, it will say Verizon no matter what OS you have or which carrier you use it on.

Yea, I can tell. But using the Search button at the top of this forum highlighted in RED does not required a highschool degree. It has been discussed thousands of times here.
So, any more questions?

Yes. Why is this thread still open? All of the OP's questions have been answered. If the OP doesn't like the answers, well, too bad. There's nothing more to discuss here.

Gotcha, he wants to get rid of the initial Verizon black startup screen and change it to Boost. So I guess my next question is why? CDMA frequency issues aside (from what I can gather, Verizon phones can't be flashed to work with Boost), if I had an unlocked Verizon phone on say AT&T, the Verizon startup screen is only there temporarily. But I guess it is similar to why people go to great lengths to get the 3G symbol even though it really doesn't add anything to the phone's abilities.
