Hello everyone.

I would like to know if an app can contact another app but on a PC. I was wondering this because J2SE and J2ME are two different java versions.

I want to create an app that contacts a PC trough internet connection.

Does the PC have a static IP address and is on the internet? If so, what is stopping you from either opening a socket connection to the PC, or putting Apache on it and using HTTP?

Of course, either option requires you to have some server application running on the PC.

I want to create a connection on a Blackberry to a PC through the Internet for transmitting data.

What I don't know is how to create a server on a PC and a client on a Blackberry.

Is there any tutorial that you recommend to me?

There is no simple answer to this question.

You have to start with some type of web service on the server-side. This really depends on your infrastructure and your expertise. I would suggest Apache/Tomcat as a starting point. Buy a book.

For the client, you would probably access the server via HTTP. See the HTTPDemo that ships with the JDE.
