Greetings, beginning just yesterday, I've been getting SSL certificate errors -- "the server's certificate is not trusted" -- when trying to log into mobile Hotmail. The error window says:
x account.live.com
* Untrusted Cert Chain
* Stale Chain Status

I've been using mobile Hotmail for years, and never saw these messages before, up through this past Sunday.

Has anyone else started getting this, and know what the cause is?

I do have the option to trust the certificate, but I know that certificate errors can be indicative of a hacking attempt, so I don't think that's a good idea. I've also done a battery pull and the issue remains.

When ever a sites secure delivery certificate is either non existent or somehow damaged in delivery to the receiver you may see this type of message. Unless you upgraded or fooled with options it just may be something that will clear soon. If you did add any APPxxx8217;s then it may be one is causing this issue. Try deleting the latest App and see if it helps.
