In call alert tones (Caller ID, VM alert,etc.)

I noticed when I'm on a call the caller ID tone is barely audible. I also have my settings so I'll get in-call alerts for level 1 emails along with voicemails.
I find often that I realize I'm getting another call late and by the time I switch over the call has rolled into voice mail.
Is there any way to adjust the volume of that alert?
