Question Browser issue . . .

Please Login to Remove!

I've noticed that if I use a link within Viigo to open an article in a browser - or if I do the same thing via LinkedIn - the browser becomes unresponsive. That is, I get a white screen - you think it's going to display something but it does not. If you use the Menu Key to toggle between apps and select browser - you are stuck on the white screen. If you go to the Home screen and click the browser icon - same thing - white screen.

I found a thread where someone noted a similar behavior - they thought it was related to the .337 beta but I experience this on .246.

It may be because Viigo or LinkedIn aren't "optimized" for the Torch/OS6.

Has anyone seen similar issues - battery pulled has resolved it - I was hoping .337 would too.

Thanks.

Well when I try to download Viigo it says this application is not available for your device. So I would say that's your problem if I was guessing!

That could be it - I used Desktop Manager to transfer from my old 9700 to the Torch and it came over. It actually works well - I just don't use the Open in Browser feature.

I think this also occurred in LinkedIn so we'll see - it's only happened twice and I'm not trying to recreate the issue.

Thanks.

It just happened again! This time I wasn't doing anything specific - I had used the browser earlier in the day - then a few moments ago I clicked the browser icon and nothing happened. I then used the Switch Application and selected the browser and it just stayed at that screen. A battery pull solved it.

Wonder if .337 resolves this. Has anyone experienced this issue?

I do see that the LinkedIn app is always running even after a battery pull. I 'll delete that app and see if this occurs again.

Stay tuned.

Do you really need Viigo anymore on OS6 ? Since the new browser supports all the features of what Viigo used to do. I never had luck on opening a link in browser.
I don't use Viigo on OS6 and everything is working fine.

What exactly in OS6 replaces Viigo? With Viigo I still have all of my "channels" from weather to news to RSS feeds. I added some channels to the "Social Feeds" app but the Viigo UI crams a lot more info into the screen.

Thanks.
