If you have a trackball problem and there seems to be plenty of evidence of this, is there a way to navigate between menu icons without using the trackball - eg using keystrokes?

I have a Bold 9000 with this problem and want a temporary workaround till I can get it fixed.

I do not know of another way to navigate through the menus. Some have hotkeys so you could try that.

What is the problem with the trackball? Do you carry it in your pocket? Perhaps there is lint under it?

Noted on the double posting. Sorry.

My 9000 Bold has no hotkeys that work on the icon menu items.

The trackball sticks in the 90degree direction. It's intermittent and sometimes clears but then always comes back. I am in remote location unable to get ot a repair shop, thats why I asked for this work-around.

you can try this :
-buy and change into new trackball
-or you can try to fix it by yourself
