I was charging my bb and next thing i know its turns off by itself. I already took out the battery and i have put a brand new one. I took it a guy who works at verizon and he said that it was toasted. is there any way that it can be fix?

Depends. Depends on what is wrong.

Do you use a microSD media card? If so, remove it. See if the BlackBerry boots up.

The new battery, do you know it was charged? Do you know your old battery is dead?

Had you dropped the BlackBerry, or gotten it wet? Were there any problems prior to it shutting off? (Any keypad or button malfunctions, perhaps?)

Check the terminals on the BlackBerry and make sure none are bent or deformed, and that they are not corroded.

With a charged battery installed, will the device connect to a computer? Will the computer see it? Can you wipe it with JL_CMDER? (If so, reinstall the OS.)
