im not sure if this is a problem or not but it seems like when my blackberry gets a sms text message it vibrates untill you press a button... my old phone had something like 3 sets of vibrations before it stopped vibrating. it doesn't seem to do this on bbm.

and i have another problem that i can't figure out. i try to change my text message and bbm tones but when i go to the "try it" button it sais
"invalid ring tone selected, please make another selection" but that is the case for all of them so im not sure what i can do.
i have it on always play sound on
i have the older blackberry curve

Note that the number of vibrations settings probably goes up to 10....Did you check that?

Not sure about the ring tones issue. I would try a hard reset fist....That is, with the power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds. Then try again.

thanks i didnt think to check that for the vibrations!
it fixed it but i still have the the ring tone problem. i havent tried a hard reset.
does a hard reset delete anything?

Hard rest will not cause you to lose any data.
