So I'm using an 8330 with an old version of Outlook and an old version of Desk Top Manager, and everything is cool. For some reason I start getting an error message and my contacts stop syncing. I'm too busy to worry about it. I just thumb new contact info into the phone.

The phone begins to die (oh no!). I download the newest version of DTM and I back up the phone before I replace it. I get a new 9330 and send all the old info over to it. It syncs up like a champ on my desktop. I decide to try to sync it up on my laptop as well. My calendar and e-mail sync, but my contacts will not move over from the phone to the laptop. I'm sure that I've missed some setting somewhere, but I don't know where it might be.

Someone please help an old man trying to be tech savvy.

What version of Outlook do you use?

Did you configure the contact sync to work with Outlook? You can also use Google Contact sync.
