I am using a beta OS 6 on my 9700 and my battery life has drastically improved over OS 5 on the same device. I was told, however, that OS6 on the 9780 is not as good on battery as was OS 5 on the 9700. Can anyone confirm?

I get 48hrs easily out of my 9780. So I think you were told BS.

The 9700 dies very quickly with OS6. My 9780 last approx 24hrs as i use the device alot.

Battery life depends on how you use it. What someone else gets is really not relevant to you unless they do the exact same things as you.
