Default (.NET) ArrayOfString to (Java) String []

Please Login to Remove!

My web service (in .NET, C#) sends an array of strings
public String[] authenticationWithKey(String e, String k, int n)

but when I invoke the method at my BB application(in Java),

String [] array;
array = w.authenticationWithKey(embgT.getText(), keyT.getText(), 1);

this won't pass. (Type missmatch: cannot convert from ArrayOfString to String)

Can you tell me a solution, maybe a compatible .net to java array, list or something...

Thanks

Hi,

I am new to BB development. I am trying to consume a .Net web service from BB application. Could you please tell me how to create a web service client in BB? It would be of great help, if you could pass on the code snippet. Thanks in advance.

@thatoulah

Have you ever checked for exact syntax, spelling, spaces?

of course It's impossible to pass an array from c# to java. I put the the array in a string separated with commas, send it, and then split the string back into an array.

sort of xml-ing :D

String [] array; vs String[] array; first won't compile.

@rajeraja
Please make sure to read some tutorials. BB development means J2ME with a little bit of BB stuff added. Read the API here: goo DOT gl SLASH ayLea. If you need code snippets, please take a look at java2s.com.
