Depends on you and what your needs are.

But try Poynt. I think that's a good app for just about anyone.

And Pandora, if you don't already know about it.

Like alharkness says, that's kinda tough to answer. I'm an over-the-road trucker, and my must have apps won't be the same as a paramedic with an infallable sense of direction, or a 16 year old girl. But there are some general apps most people should have. Poynt, Google maps, social networking apps (I recommend Socialscope), if you do any driving at all I recommend Trapster, Vlingo, and BlackBerry Traffic. Podtrapper, and Pandora for entertainment.

If we knew a little about you, or what you were looking for, we could make more targeted suggestions, but I hope these help.

Blackberry Protect is number one in my book no matter what you do.

That infallable sense of direction is a learned skill lol

I'm going to second everyone's comments with regards to it depending the purposes you use your blackberry for.

My list however is:
  • Epocrates - An excellent free application for drug lookup
  • Google Maps - I haven't exactly gotten than learned sense of direction, but it's coming :P
  • Blackberry Traffic
  • Shazam - An application to identify what music your hearing
  • Personal Banking Applications
  • BBScanner - A neat application to listen to radio traffic
  • Music Station Applications - Get your favourite music station playing through your blackberry
  • Mobile Backup - A service for which you can program to automatically backup your contacts at a certain time. You can remotely recover your backups in the event of a blackberry failure.
  • WeatherEye - A TheWeaterNetwork application showing weather and weather-related warnings.

Cheers,
--Phil
