Default Media Player: Can I advance within a track?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi
I listen to quite long talking books (MP3) can I advance to say halfway through?

I seem to be able to highlight the track progress cursor, but cannot move it

The answer is yes. Not sure why it wouldn't be working for you.

One suggestion I have is play a short track so that the location marker will scroll farther per number of seconds of scrolling, and experiment until you get it.

You may want to also do a hard reset and make sure there is no glitch causing the problem.

Ira,
Thanks it does work, it was just finger trouble, it requires rather delicate horizontal stroking of the trackpad!! if you go even slightly vertical then you lose focus.

I'd say good, but it's not really. I haven't been happy with scrolling ahead or backward on media files with the trackpad. It was ok on my old 8820 with a trackball. But that is the only good thing I have to say about the trackball. All things considered, the pad is better.

I pretty much agree except for playing BrickBreaker too. I have given up with the trackpad.....
