any news about skype for Blackberry torch ?

any link where i can see news about when skype will be available for BB torch ?

Skype is only available for Verizon customers.
There is no indication this will change any time soon.

I use iSkoot

But when calling your Skype contact, you will incur cost of a local call. Not bad as I have unlimited local call minutes.

Incoming doesnt work though.. you need to setup skype credit etc.

this is stupid, for the last model of BB no skype available, i take contact with people from IM+Talk, and i asked about full duplex mode, it seams that will not be available in the future :(

Bottom line: No Skype unless you have a Verizon BlackBerry, subject to their many limitations.

BB Bold 9700 and Torch VOIP work fine on Wifi using $20 app from VoIP Software for providers | Mobile VoIP calls for Blackberry, IPhone, Android, Symbian | VoipSwitch. I've used for over 6 months on both models without issue.

Are there any delays when a sip call is initiated? Can I use my own provider with the software? Do they have a demo / trial period?

Thanks for any answers.. I sure wish we could have a true sip client like I got for my wife's android phone.. Been looking for one for a while..
