i just changed from BB to iphone. got tired of failing trackballs and touch pads...3 in 18 months.
got my email account up and running. how do i turn off my att.blackberry.com account?

First, it is .net and not .com.

Presumably you have canceled your BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS). So there is nothing for you to turn off now. Your hosted email is gone.

sorry, I meant .net...
however, people are getting a message that emails have not been delivered to att.blackberry.net even though I get the message in my regular mailbox!

So you still have a Blackberry and a BIS account? Then notify your contacts that you will no longer be using the .blackberry.net address and delete it from your BIS setup. If your contacts keep sending to that address that's their problem. Or am I not understanding still?

Did you call ATT and specifically tell them to cancel your BIS account and the carrier email account?

And you are experiencing first hand one of the reasons NOT to use the carrier supplied email account.
