Default Upgrading BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hello Folks. Current environment is:

Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003
BES for Exchange 4.1.7 MR3 on Windows 2000

Going to migrate over to Exchange 2010 on Windows 2008 R2 - it will be a single server deployment. Both mail servers will be online until all mailboxes are moved from 2003 to 2010.

Now, from the BES perspective, what's the best way to handle this? I have RIM support, so I assume version upgrade is no cost. Is there a BES version that can handle both 2003 & 2010? Maybe upgrade to that version now before the 2010 migration?

Any help, pointers,... would be greatly appreciated.

Danny

Default Re: Upgrading BES

you will need BES 5 to support both

do you have a new BES box or VM?
2000 is no longer supported.

Once you uprade to BES 5, you can migrate to exchange 2010

do you need all those IT policies? maybe BES 5 express will be better for you an its free.

then take your current CALs and convert them to BES 10 CALs for free and be ready for BB10 devices.
