Default Migrating BES 5.0.4 to new server.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I'm trying to spec out the steps required to migrate a BES 5.0.4 to a new server. I'll be doing a cut over and installing BES 5.0.4 from Server 2K3 to 2K8. I'm going to reuse the configuration database already in place. Just a couple of thoughts..

1. After bringing the new BES up I'll have to migrate users using the BAS right? Or will the new BAS absorb the users from the from the BCD automatically.

2. Also pulling users to the "new" server will require resent service books and possibly data resync correct?

HA failover to new hardware is real easy if you have a remote database

I went from Server OS 2003 to 2012 with it.
