Hello BB Forum! I just found these forums yesterday, and I've pretty much been here since. Now-- I have a confusing question that really shouldn't be posted here. Sorry in advance, and thanks for the help!

I would like to order an 8700c. I'm planning to order the Cingular $49.99 Unlimited Plan and the +$19.99 International Plan, for use in Europe during my study abroad next year. Also, I'm considering a BES service like exchangemymail.com. So, here are my questions:

1) I plan to use exchangemymail.com, for Outlook syncing and MDS service. Can I tether my laptop to this connection (through MDS)?

2) Could I get overage charges from Cingular for using this?

3) What would be the approximate speed of this tethered connection? Would I be able to use programs like Skype on my laptop? How about download speeds? What are the limitations imposed by exchangemymail.com?

You can tether but it still won't get you out of data charges. If you have BES, Shark Modem works but still has some bugs IMO, without data charges.

The speeds are 157K tops I think. Not that fast for web surfing but fine for retreiving email IMO. As a stopgap you can get to web page.
