Any idea what Fortte charge for shipping to the UK? Or if they have a UK distributor?

I'm having a hard time choosing one case. Also, which belt clip is best: 360 swivel clip, ratchet clip, or plain fixed clip?

I use the removable swivel clip as I don't need a clip on my case all the time. Some will stand by the ratchet clip and others like the fixed clip. I have cases and holsters with a fixed clip and ratchet clip but I prefer the swivel. I am not sure if the others are removable or not.

As for your case dilemma: What do you want the case to do?

1) Put the phone to sleep to save battery power (this shuts the screen off whenever you put the phone in the case)? These cases come with a magnet built in. Any pouch or case will do this except the Open Face Case.

2) Provide access to the device without removing it from the case? I use Open Face Cases for this reason. I have ordered 2 cases (waiting for the second) with a screen protector added onto the case to protect the screen from scratches, dust, food, etc. I wish a sleeper magnet was included somewhere on these.

3) Protect the screen? Just about any case or pouch will do this except the Open Face Case (unless you ask for a screen protector).

After you figure out these questions, the rest is up to you as to color, embossing, material of the case (I have heard of instances where they will substitute another material in place of leather).

I would suggest emailing Salo, Monica, or PRB to discuss options on the cases. They have helped me order 3 cases already (1 have one and am waiting on 2 more).

Also look in the Reviews and Accessories Frorums here on this site for ideas o the types of cases BB Users prefer.

Thanks for helping me out, Erica.

I narrow down to about 3 cases: lateral case, vertical pouch and open face case. I used RIM 950, SK, SK2 in the past as a hearing-impaired. All of them were in lateral cases with fixed clip except I found SK2 too wide. I dislike a vertical case but wonder if a swivel or ratchet clip would help whenever I sit down. I'm considering an open face case only if I'm weary of pulling my BB out of case with fingertips.

As for which clip, swivel clip seems "popular" as an option on every case in stores. One thread said he worries his BB may fall out due to its touchy release mechanism. Also, will it make the case sticks out more? Will I feel my BB vibrating? I wish to find out more on ratchet clip on hand. I'll do more extensive search but I'll ask related to Deaf needs (be one if you put in ear plugs).

You're welcome.

You will feel the vibration. Before you sit down, you can remove the swivel clip. With the open face case, you will not have to remove the BB from the case to use the keypad, mini USB port, escape button and trackwheel. This is the feature I LOVE about this case. If you are concerned about the case sticking out you can remove the clip and put it in your pocket and feel the vibration that way. There's also the option of not getting a clip at all.

The ratchet clip is an option if you want the BlackBerry to stay in particular position. Swivel clips have a habit of moving on their own and may not stay in the position you want which means you may find your BlackBerry upside down when you need it the most.

Erica, it looks like I'd select STiL Pouch customized with hortizonal belt clip. I also opted for a low-profile clip. I thought about classical Vertical Pouch since I don't need a hole for speaker, but I don't know how the magnetic closure holds up while it's hortizonal.

One more thing, why did some request no logo/emblem? How is it annoying?

I said you have the option to order the case with no BELT CLIP if it bothers you.

I was asking about (Fortte) logo, not BELT CLIP.

Sorry. I didn't see the question about the logo. I was answering your previous question about the clip getting in the way.
