Default "organizing Calendar" ERROR message and I cannot view Agenda

Please Login to Remove!

I posted this in 8700 section yesterday and got no response, this is probably not an 8700 specific issue anyway so I will try over here. Sorry for the double post but no one over there seems to have any idea what may be wrong....

Basics:8700 C
-No problems related to Calendar before this
-No new programs added
-Pulled Battery and turned off mulitple times

I went to my calendar icon yesterday and could not view the agenda view as normal- as I scrolled down or up (thinking I was beyond any events) a box pops up that says "organizing calendar" and it goes away when I stop scrolling.

I switched to "view day " and it came up as Dec. 31 1969
If I plug in todays date it will go there and I can view the day, week and month views but no agenda. After leaving calendar and coming back it goes back to 1969.

My date and time are set correctly under options.

Anyone have any ideas? This is my main view on my BB and crucial for me- I am SOL if I do not get this fixed.

TIA,
JP

My guess would be to do a fresh install of the OS.

I appreciate your reply but...have you heard of this problem before and know it would fix it? I do not want to go thru all of that when everything else works fine. I do appreciate it and think that may fix it but so would buying a new BB if you know what I am saying. Do not want to use a sledgehammer to fix a stopped watch as it were.

I am looking for someone who might have a specific answer related to this problem or an answer at least related to the calendar section of the BB.

Thanks again paulbblc,
JP

Yeah, sorry I should have included more detail. I personally haven't heard of or seen this happening. I understand not wanting to do a fresh install because it is a pain.

Though I do belive it is the best thing to do. I was thinking it has something to do with your date and time settings however you had said you checked them and they were set fine. Do you have it on network or BlackBerry time?

It is set to Network (Cingular) time.

I thought it may have to do with a recent synch adding too much data (past info) but nothing new was done VS any other synchs. I am on ACT on PC use companionlink and synch with Desktop Mgr- never had problems.

Thanks for the input- any additional info from you or anyone is more than welcomed!

JP

I am taking one last shot, Maybe some people are back from the Labor Day holiday and did not see my post.

Any Help before I blow it up and do an OS reinstall? I don't even know if that will work but I have no other thoughts.

Thanks,
John

I guess I should have asked if you want a camera on your BB or not....

How about this question- Where can someone go for help on an issue like this?

Is there a RIM support site? I cannot find a good one, this has always been my one-stop-shopping site for help.

This must just be an issue that noone has any clue about or interest in.

I am sunk though and need to find a solution.

Any other sites you can recommend for tech support?

John

I see three of the Gurus of BB are online right now- come on - help a guy out....

Any lead on a good BB tech site for help if you have no suggestions-
I am really frustrated that I cannot get anyone to even try to point me in the right direction for a solution...
